Overview

The preferred procurement model will shape the contractual arrangements for the water metering programme.  In must cases the scale of the civil construction works will likely require a multi-year contract.  This provides time for progressive installation of meters across the district, allowing for communications networks and back-of-house systems to be deployed in parallel.

In addition, Service Level Agreements (SLAs) must be established for any third-party services, such as communications networks or data platforms, to ensure reliable performance and accountability throughout implementation and ongoing operations.[JF2]
